I found the seat to be easy to install.   It is easier to clean between the hinges than a normal seat. I just used disinfected wipes to clean the seat.   It is very easy to clean.   It is nice to walk in my master Bathroom and it always smells nice, not stinky.   You take it for granted until you walk in other bathrooms. I will put one in all of my bathrooms.
